Though Marcus Garvey was not directly involved in Rastafarianism, he is considered to be one of the religion's prophet. Marcus Garvey teachings on black empowerment, black unity and Africa being black people's rightful home served as the foundation for the Rastafarian movement. By the 1920s, he had almost had a million followers and one could say Rastafarianism developed as a branch of overall black empowerment.

a yaadie there. Jamaican and Caribbean immigrants have built countries. Some first world countries
wouldn’t be what these are without the labour, sacrifices and invaluable contributions from the people
who migrated there. There’s much to say about the Windrush generation and its scandal is heart-
wrenching. But before we get to that, let’s cover what the Windrush immigration/generation is.
