Renowned as the second-fastest woman ever over the 200m distance, Jackson exhibited her prowess in Budapest, clinching her second World 200m title in awe-inspiring fashion. In August, she not only triumphed but shattered her own championship record, setting a new benchmark at 21.41, eclipsing her previous record of 21.45. The exclamation point on her phenomenal season came with victories in the Diamond 100m and 200m events in Eugene, Oregon.

Rounding off the list of exceptional finalists is the imperious Yulimar Rojas from Venezuela, a quadruple winner of the triple jump World title in Budapest. Rojas further solidified her standing by being crowned the Diamond League champion in 2023.
